Must have FIRST Time Gear.

Gear makes a huge difference when you’re just starting. Here’s a practical overview of what you’ll need, with links if you want to check them out right now.

1. Beginner Kite

  • Easy to relaunch, forgiving in gusty wind. Perfect for your first few lessons.

  • Small inline link to Amazon/affiliate store.

2. Harness

  • Comfort matters. This harness stayed snug without bruising my ribs even after hours of practice.

3. Helmet

  • Lightweight, durable, and protected me during countless face-plants.

4. Wetsuit

  • Flexible and warm. You’ll spend hours in the water; comfort is key.

Pro Tip: Renting gear for your first 1–2 sessions is fine, but once you’re hooked, having your own setup speeds up progress and boosts confidence.
